Motorcyclist killed in collision

A motorcyclist has been killed in a collision on the A69 near Carlisle.

The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene after his bike collided with an Isuzu Trooper vehicle near Byegill Farm at Corby Hill on Friday.

The road was closed for five hours while police carried out investigations and removed the two vehicles involved.

Details of the man have not yet been released and police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed either of the vehicles to contact them.
