Thieves tie up and gag van driver

A woman van driver was tied up and locked in a freight container overnight by thieves who stole her vehicle.

Police said the 53-year-old was making a delivery to Rexel Senate Ltd in Moresby Park, Whitehaven, on Wednesday when she was attacked.

The victim, who works for the electrical wholesalers, was bound and gagged and put into the container by two masked men, police confirmed.

She was found shocked, but unhurt by colleagues on Thursday morning.

Police are still looking for her white, Iveco van.
