Theft warning to lake boat owners

Police in Cumbria are warning boat owners and residents in the Lake District to be on their guard after three thefts in the space of one week.

Outboard motors and fuel tanks were taken from boats which were moored on the shores of Windermere between Brockhole and Waterhead.

People are being asked to be on the look out for any suspicious activity in or around the lake.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cumbria Police.
