Car crash victim dies in hospital

A Carlisle woman who was seriously injured in a car crash on the A69 in Cumbria on Friday has died in hospital.

Kelly Gourlay, 24, was in a Peugeot 306, which was in collision with a Land Rover near Corby Hill crossroads.

She was taken by air ambulance to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary, where she died on Monday.

The 41-year-old driver of the Land Rover suffered minor injuries. A Cumbria police investigation into the incident is continuing.
