No overall control for Carlisle

There will also be no overall control in Barrow

The Conservatives have won two seats from Labour on Carlisle City Council, but the authority remains under no overall control.

Both parties now hold 21 seats, the Lib Dems seven, two are vacant and one is Independent.

There was no change in Barrow, which also remains under no overall control, although Labour lost eight seats, mostly to the Independents.

The Lib Dems increased their majority by four on South Lakeland Council.
