Man seriously hurt in roof fall
A 34-year-old man suffered serious head injuries after falling from the roof of a storage building in Carlisle.

Police said the man, from the Annan area, was dismantling the J and W Watt building on London Road when he fell onto a concrete floor on Wednesday.

He was taken to Cumberland Infirmary but later transferred to Newcastle General Hospital where his condition is described as "poorly".

Cumbria Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating.
