Supporters of Lady in the Lake killer Gordon Park have held a vigil to mark the third anniversary of his conviction for murdering his wife.
Gordon Park was convicted in 2005 of killing wife Carol
Family and friends of Park, 63, carried banners and posters and handed out leaflets on Saturday, near where he is serving life in jail at HMP Manchester.
The retired teacher from Barrow in Cumbria was jailed in January 2005.
He has always denied killing his first wife Carol and dumping her body in Coniston Water in the Lakes in 1976.
Park recently began appeal proceedings and his family have said they are awaiting a response from a judge.
Mrs Park was dubbed the Lady in the Lake by detectives, after the Raymond Chandler crime novel of the same name.
A jury at Manchester Crown Court heard Park bludgeoned his wife to death with an axe, then dumped her body in Coniston Water where it lay undiscovered for 21 years.
The jury dismissed his not guilty plea after a 10-week trial.
