Pop star's treat for brave Milly

Milly recently underwent surgery at Great Ormond Street
Sir Paul McCartney made it a wonderful Christmastime for a Cumbrian girl receiving treatment at London's Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The star made a surprise appearance at the hospital's annual Christmas party.

He chatted and joked with some of the 1,500 children and their families, including Milly Pane, from Ulverston.

The nine-year-old was born with a rare genetic condition where the bones in her skull and face fused at birth. She underwent surgery earlier this month.

The former Beatle greeted her with a hug and jokingly pretended to take a bite out of a medal she was recently given at the Woman's Own Children of Courage Awards.
