Arrest after spate of vandalism
A suspected animal rights campaigner has been arrested after attacks on a showground, restaurant and farm.

The Westmorland County Showground at Crooklands near Kendal was worst hit, with windows smashed and anti-farming slogans daubed on the walls.

Slogans were also painted on cars and other damage was carried out at a farm which breeds wild boar in Crook.

A 26-year-old man from Ulverston has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of criminal damage.

The L'enclume restaurant in Cartmel was also targeted overnight on 22 November.
