Man seriously injured in M6 crash
A motorist is critically ill after his car left the M6 in Cumbria and careered into woodland.

The 37-year-old man, from Glasgow, was seriously injured in the crash at Westmorland Services, near Tebay.

He was airlifted to Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital, where his condition is described as life-threatening.

A stretch of the M6 southbound was closed for about five hours following the incident on Monday evening.
