Hunt continues for sex attacker
E-fit of man
Police are appealing for information
A poster campaign is being launched in the hope of catching a sex attacker who assaulted a female jogger.

Police are to distribute 50 posters in Carlisle on Friday showing the attacker's Fred Perry tracksuit top.

The woman was assaulted on the path that links Denton Holme with Cummersdale and Dalston on 29 July.

Cumbria Police are still keen to hear from anyone who was in the Cummersdale Bay and Dalston areas of Carlisle on the evening of the attack.

Police said the man tried to befriend the victim, and held her hand as they walked towards Denton Holme.

Skoda Octavia

He is described as aged about 30. Police said he had a tan and was wearing a navy zipped jacket and jeans.

The assault happened about half a mile away from the Stead McAlpin factory on the bend of the River Caldew.

The attacker had short brown hair and a clean-shaven face, and is believed to have been wearing blue jeans and white trainers.

Detectives are keen to speak to the owner of a white Skoda Octavia taxi that was parked in a lane between the Crematorium and Pirelli Factory on Dalston Road in Carlisle on that evening.
