Results for Carlisle and Barrow

Two local councils in Cumbria remain under no overall control following the local elections.

One third of the seats were up for grabs in both Carlisle City Council and Barrow-in-Furness Borough Council.

Labour lost two seats in Barrow, where the Conservatives gained two and now have 19 seats to Labour's 16. Three remain independent.

In Carlisle, Labour hold 25 seats, Conservatives 19, Lib Dems seven, and there is one independent.
