Heart attack mountain walker dies
An elderly man died after suffering a heart attack while fell walking in the Lake District.

The 73-year-old, who was with a friend, had just reached the summit of Great Gable at Wasdale, when he collapsed.

About 20 members of Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team and an RAF helicopter were scrambled by a mobile phone call on Wednesday afternoon.

The casualty was stretchered to Styhead Pass, then airlifted down the mountain, but he failed to recover.
