Escaped lizard is found in garden
A 5ft-long lizard which sparked a police hunt after escaping from a house in Cumbria has been found.

Members of the public were being warned not to approach the monitor lizard, which went missing from Scalegate Road in Carlisle on Thursday.

It was found that night in a neighbour's garden, according to Cumbria Police.

Monitor lizards, which feed on small mammals, are not generally dangerous, but can bite if startled.
