A nine-year-old Cumbrian girl has been honoured after becoming one of the youngest people to climb all 214 of Wainwright's Lakeland fells.
Ellen Regan, from Caldbeck, completed all the fells listed in seven guide books written more than 35 years ago by fellwalker Alfred Wainwright.
The youngster climbed her first fell aged just three.
The Wainwright Society has presented Ellen with a boxed set of Wainwright's five Lake District sketchbooks.
Wainwright, who lived from 1907 to 1991, was known as AW to generations of fellwalkers and is still regarded as the undisputed master of the mountains in the Lake District.
Hikers were challenged last year to climb the 214 Lakeland peaks to mark the 50th anniversary of the first in a series of Wainwright's Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells.
Last month, Ellen, aged nine years 10 months, climbed Scafell Pike to complete the 214 "Wainwrights".
