Police recapture escaped killer
A prisoner who escaped while working at a nature reserve in Haverthwaite in Cumbria has been recaptured by police.

Christopher Hannon, who is serving 15 year for manslaughter at Haverigg jail, was picked up at his home address in Greater Manchester on Saturday night.

The 47-year-old disappeared on Thursday while working in a supervised group of inmates at Roudsea nature reserve.

Cumbria Police were immediately alerted but Hannon was eventually picked up at his home address in Manchester.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said Hannon was back behind bars in south Cumbria after being recaptured.
