Dr Robert Wood was involved with the Wordsworth Trust for over 30 years
The funeral of the director of the Wordsworth Trust takes place in Cumbria on Thursday.

Dr Robert Woof, 74, died earlier this month after a battle with cancer. He was appointed as the Trust's first director in 1992.

His funeral service will take place at St Oswald's Church in Grasmere, the burial place of William Wordsworth and his family.

Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Museum will be closed for the day.

Broadcaster Melvyn Bragg and former Culture Secretary Chris Smith were among those who paid tribute following his death.

A memorial celebration will be held in London in the New Year.
