Man killed in two-vehicle crash
A man was killed in a crash on a road in Cumbria, police have said.

The incident happened on the B5300 at Cross Canonbie between Maryport and Allonby on Monday.

The motorist, driving a silver Rover 25, had to be cut free from his car by firefighters, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other car involved, a Kia Sedona was treated for minor injuries. No details of those involved have been released.

The B5300 was closed for five hours while debris was cleared and accident investigators examined the scene.

Cumbria Police have appealed for witnesses.
