Plans are being finalised for the regeneration of a West Cumbria harbour affected by recent floods.
A series of meetings were being held over the weekend on the future of Harrington Harbour, near Workington.
Regeneration agency West Lakes Renaissance is currently developing a project aimed at revamping the area.
A feasibility study is being carried, which it is hoped will attract partner funding from local authorities and Harrington Harbour and Dock Board.
A spokesman for Allerdale Borough Council said: "The main elements of study are based around the economic regeneration of the harbour and its ability to generate income sources for the future.
'Different ideas'
"We are also considering the physical regeneration of the harbour facility and its ability to best serve maritime harbour users.
"The feasibility work has now got to the stage where a series of proposals have been drawn up showing different ideas for the development of the harbour."
West Lakes Renaissance's Project Manager, Ann-Marie Cowperthwaite, explained: "We feel that Harrington Harbour offers great potential for further improvement and, subject to the wishes of the local community, it could be expanded in a very sensitive and sustainable way."
The proposals were being shown in an exhibition over the weekend at Harrington Youth Club.
A public meeting will also be held to discuss the proposals on 31 October at Harrington Methodist Church.
