Elderly woman is attacked at home
An elderly woman has been attacked, tied up and gagged by two men who broke into her Cumbrian home.

The men, who were wearing balaclavas, entered the house, on the site of the Lawson haulage company on Gote Road in Cockermouth, on Saturday night.

Once inside, the men attacked the woman and tied her up before stealing cash.

Cumbria Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information about the men, who had Irish accents, to contact them.
