Man struck by six cars is named
A pedestrian who died after being hit by several vehicles on the M6 in Cumbria has been named by police.

Alexander Mcphee, 42, from New House, Bellshill, Glasgow, was hit by a Ford Transit van at about 2150 BST on Friday near Killington Lake Services.

Mr Mcphee was then hit by a further five vehicles.

The coroner has been informed, but an inquest date has yet to be set. Police have also renewed an appeal for witnesses to the incident.
