The parents of a Cumbrian woman who has been missing since April have visited her home in Bali with two police officers from the county.
Kate Osborne, 35, was in what is claimed to be a violent relationship with long-term Peruvian boyfriend, Jose Henricci, who has not been seen since she disappeared.
The police now say they have an address for Jose's parents in Peru.
Patrick and Liz Osborne hope the trip will breathe new life into the search for their daughter.
DCI Bill Whitehead of Cumbria Police said: "We have had word that Interpol have made inquiries in Lima in an attempt to find Jose, and see that he is safe and well.
"We have not found him, but are confident we have found his parents, who the Peruvian police are contacting on our behalf."
'Very distressed'
The police officers and Mr and Mrs Osborne visited their daughter's flat in Bali.
Mr Whitehead said: "They are very strong people, and they are bearing up remarkably well, but they were very distressed when they visited the house and saw her possessions."
The officers from Cumbria Police have been working with Indonesian officers through Interpol.
They are particularly keen to trace Ms Osborne's 35-year-old long-term boyfriend Jose Henricci, who has not been seen since she disappeared.
Ms Osborne has lived in Bali for nearly four years, teaching English and then acting as a translator following last October's nightclub bombing.
