Travellers told to stop building at Beausale site

The site at Beausale
The notice was issued after travellers moved on to the site last Friday

Travellers who moved on to a site in Warwickshire have been issued with a temporary notice stopping them from developing it.

Warwick District Council issued the notice after the group took over the field on Kites Nest Lane in Beausale, near Kenilworth, on Friday.

Residents reported that heavy machinery, including diggers and road rollers, were on the site.

The council said it would be re-visiting the site on Tuesday.

Warwickshire Police said there had been no reports of any incidents at the site since the travellers arrived.
