Three fire service staff arrested over the deaths of four firemen in Warwickshire have been released on police bail as inquiries continue.

Three men, from Nuneaton, Leamington Spa and Warwick, were questioned on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.

They were also questioned about offences under health and safety laws.

The four firemen died as a result of a fire at a vegetable packing plant in Atherstone-on-Stour.

The bodies of Ashley Stephens, 20, John Averis, 27, and Darren Yates-Badley, 24, were found inside the remains of a warehouse, days after the fire.

Ian Reid, 44, died in hospital.

All four were members of Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The police and Health and Safety Executive investigation continues.
