RSC site visits end so work can be completed

Artistic director Michael Boyd took actors on a tour of the revamped Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon

Visitors to the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon have been taking a last look at renovation work at the company's theatres.

Work is being carried out to transform the Royal Shakespeare and the Swan theatres, with people being able to take a look behind the scenes.

The renovations are due to finish in November and work will now start on the inside of the theatres.

The site visits have ended so the interior work can be completed.

An RSC spokeswoman said the work was expected to be finished on time.
