Flu-hit school to shut for week

A Coventry school which closed for two days because of a suspected swine flu outbreak will remain closed until the end of the week.

Baginton Fields School, which has 100 pupils, many of whom with complex health problems, closed Monday and Tuesday after 31 pupils fell ill.

The pupils all had flu-like symptoms or suspected swine flu.

The school, catering for children with learning difficulties, will be closed until Friday.

A statement issued by the city council said the Health Protection Agency had provided advice and agreed that all children should be given anti-viral medication.
