Ikea road reopens after two years

A road that has been closed since the arrival of Ikea in Coventry is to be reopened to drivers.

Croft Road was shut to cars because town planners thought the superstore, which opened in December 2007, would cause traffic problems.

However, traders in the Spon Street area had complained that shutting the road was causing them to lose business.

They argued that their part of the city had become difficult for shoppers to access by bus and car.
