Boy, 12, injured in fall from bus

A 12-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was run over by the double-decker bus he was trying to get on.

Police said it happened at about 1820 GMT on Monday as the boy slipped on the steps of the bus in Quorn Way, Willenhall, Coventry.

The boy, who has not been identified, was said to be in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Police urged anyone who saw the accident, or had other information, to contact them.
