Bridge fall man dies on motorway

A man has died after falling from a bridge above the M40 in Warwickshire and being struck by several cars.

Officers closed the southbound carriageway at junction 15, near the A46 for Warwick, after the man fell at about 0630 GMT.

Heavy congestion was reported, with tailbacks to Henley-in-Arden and the M42 junction. The carriageway reopened later in the morning.

Police said the man fell from the Longbridge Roundabout overbridge.
