Thieves steal from woman's home

Two men walked into an elderly woman's Warwickshire house and stole money from her, police have said.

The 87-year-old was watching television on Friday evening at her home in Brownsover, Rugby, when the men, who had their faces covered, walked in.

They moved her settee away from her wall and threw cushions onto the floor as well as searching through drawers.

The raiders, thought to be in their 20s, took a purse which had £80 inside and some 17th century coins.

The woman was not physically injured but shocked when the two strangers walked into her home, police said.
