Man dies at scene of house fire

A man has died in a house fire in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

Fire crews were called to the semi-detached house in Woburn Drive on Friday afternoon. A spokesman said the ground floor was "well alight".

The man, thought to be the only person in the house at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have said the death is being treated as unexplained at this stage and have not yet released the man's identity.
