Attacker arrested over armed raid

Jason Ross Sufi, also known as Jason Williams, stabbed a police officer

A man who was originally imprisoned for stabbing a police officer and has been wanted on suspicion of armed robbery has been arrested.

Jason Ross Sufi, who is also known as Jason Williams, had been sought over an armed robbery at Iago Jewellers in Stratford-upon-Avon on 2 June 2008.

Warwickshire police were due to interview him on Friday.

West Midlands Police said it arrested him on Thursday for breaching the terms of his release from prison.

In February he was featured on the BBC's Crimewatch, the force added.

Warwickshire Police said Surrey Police and Thames Valley Police also want to speak to him in connection with house burglaries.
