Jobs to go at distribution centre

Up to 200 jobs could be lost at Tesco in Coventry as a distribution centre is to close.

Staff at the centre, at the ProLogis Industrial Park, will be offered the chance to relocate to Middlesborough, where a new centre is to open.

The firm has announced plans to open a purpose-built distribution centre in the north east town, creating about 800 jobs.

Coventry staff will be offered the chance to move to Middlesborough.
