Chair fall minister breaks wrist

Bob Ainsworth was standing on a chair in his office when he fell

Armed Forces Minister Bob Ainsworth broke his wrist after falling off a chair in his office, it has been revealed.

The Coventry North East MP was injured after standing on a chair in his House of Commons office.

He had been reaching for "something high up", a Ministry of Defence spokesman said.

He appeared in the Commons on Wednesday wearing a cast on his right wrist and with his arm in a sling.
