Two possible sites for Royal Mail

Two sites in Coventry have been identified where the Royal Mail says it could build its new delivery centres.

The news follows a decision in July to close the Bishop Street central sorting office in the city centre and axe up to 500 jobs.

The sorting office was closed in favour of building a hub in Northamptonshire.

The possible delivery sites are in Holbrooks and somewhere near the London Road with a CV3 postcode. It said it would seek planning permission soon.

Managers at the Royal Mail said planning was in the advanced stages and an application would be ready for submission by the new year.
