Interest in new £1.2m luxury car

Car enthusiasts have put their names down for a new luxury car, despite the economic downturn.

Aston Martin, which has its design centre at Gaydon, Warwickshire, is producing a new 7.3 litre vehicle due to be unveiled at the end of next year.

Only 77 cars will be made and the company said it already had 100 expressions of interest.

The car, known as the One-77, will cost £1.2m and those keen to buy it will have to find a deposit of £22,000.
