A funeral has been held for a bomb disposal expert killed in an explosion in Afghanistan.
Warrant Officer Class 2 Gary O'Donnell, 40, of the Royal Logistic Corps, had been awarded a George Medal for bravery during a previous tour in Iraq.
WO2 O'Donnell, a father-of-four, was originally from Edinburgh, but had been living with his family in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
A service was held at St Peter the Apostle RC Church in Leamington Spa.
WO2 O' Donnell was killed on 10 September when an improvised explosive device went off as he attempted to clear a route for other soldiers in Musa Qaleh.
'Unbelievably brave'
His wife, Toni, said her husband had been living his dream by serving his country.
The congregation at the service listened as the Last Post was played before a volley of shots was fired outside the church.
A cremation attended by family was held afterwards at Oakley Wood Crematorium in Bishop's Tachbrook.
Lt Col Dave Wilson, the Commander of Joint Force Engineer Group, described him as "hugely talented and unbelievably brave".
