Flood warnings for county rivers

Flood warnings are in place on rivers in Warwickshire after heavy rain hit the West Midlands region.

Up to 22mm (0.9ins) of rain was predicted to fall on Saturday afternoon and the Environment Agency has warned rivers are likely to continue rising.

Coventry's two-day Festival of Motoring was called off because the Memorial Park is waterlogged.

The scheduled meeting at Stratford Race Course has also fallen victim to the elements.

There are flood warnings on the River Stour between Shipston and Clifford Chambers including Tredington.

On the River Anker, a flood warning is in place around Grendon, Mancetter and Atherstone.

Flood watches have also been issued on many rivers in the county.
