The funeral of a two-year-old boy who died after being found in a garden pond has taken place.
Jack Welch was found by his grandparents at their home in Hampton Magna, Warwickshire, last month.
The toddler's mother, Heather, said her son had managed to open a security gate in a specially-contained area and got into the garden where the pond was.
He was taken to hospital but died a day later when his life support machine was turned off.
He was cremated at Oakley Wood Crematorium near Bishop's Tachbrook in Warwickshire.
'Tried to resuscitate'
His family have described him as a fun-loving and mischievous little boy.
In a statement after his death on 24 June, Mrs Welch said she left Jack with his grandparents while she went to work as a teaching assistant at a special school.
Jack had started to help his granddad prepare lunch but then went to the side of the house to play in a specially-contained area, away from the garden.
"Shortly afterwards Dad noticed he couldn't hear Jack playing, looked up and realised Jack had somehow opened the security gate we had put in at the side of the house and he had gone into the main part of the garden," she said.
"He found Jack in the pond and called for an ambulance while trying to resuscitate him."
