Ladder fall woman seriously hurt

A woman in her 70s suffered serious head injuries when she fell more than 13ft off a ladder in the West Midlands.

Paramedics were called to the woman's house in Balsall Common on Thursday afternoon.

She was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire by the air ambulance.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they believed the woman had been cleaning out guttering when the accident happened.
