Toddler airlifted after bus crash

A three-year-old girl was airlifted to hospital after being hit by a bus in a Warwickshire town.

The toddler, who has not been named, was hit just after 1800 BST on Tuesday on the A422 in the Shottery area of Stratford-upon-Avon.

She was taken to Coventry's University Hospital with serious leg injuries, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

Investigators are studying the bus to help find out how the incident happened.
