About 250 farmers have paid £2,000 each towards the new market
|
A new £800,000 cattle market in Warwickshire has opened for business for the first time.
The market, at Stoneleigh's National Agricultural Centre, is a replacement for the one at Rugby, which has shut.
A total of 250 local farmers have each put in £2,000 to pay for the new livestock market.
The rest of the cash is coming from Advantage West Midlands, the Royal Agricultural Society and auctioneers Howkins and Harrison.
