Man found with drug bags in body

Said Othman
A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive

A man found dead by the A45 in Warwickshire had 71 large packets of what is thought to be cocaine concealed inside his body.

He has been identified as 38-year-old Said Othman from Coventry and was found on Tuesday by council workers clearing a verge near Thurlaston.

Police are trying to establish what happened to him after he was last seen by his wife at their home on 17 March.

Toxicology tests are on-going after post mortem tests proved inconclusive.

A police spokesman said: "The presence of these packets indicates that Said was involved in the illegal importation of drugs into the country and officers are working with points of entry into the UK including ports and airports to establish his route of travel."

The substance found in his body has been sent for analysis.
