Main road closed after body find
Part of the A45 has been closed after a man's body was found by workers clearing a grass verge.

Scenes of crime officers were called to the Thurlaston area, near Rugby in Warwickshire, after the discovery of the black male, aged in his late 30s.

The area around the body has been cordoned off for several hours and traffic diversions are in place.

Investigations into the cause of death are at an early stage and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.

'Suspicious activity'

Warwickshire Police is asking for help in identifying the man who was wearing faded blue jeans, sandy coloured laced boots and a white polo T-shirt with horizontal orange, white and brown stripes.

He was wearing a Swatch watch and had closely cropped hair and stubble and evidence of a slight moustache.

Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area in the last 24 hours, up to 0900 GMT on 25 March.

The A45 is closed in both directions between Thurlaston roundabout (A45/M45 junction) and Stretton roundabout (B4455 junction).

The A4071 is also closed between Princethorpe and A45.
