Racecourse fined £2,500 by panel
Warwick Racecourse has been fined £2,500 for abandoning five races at a meeting in September.

Course officials were found guilty of breaching the rules by a disciplinary panel of the British Horseracing Authority.

The board heard how the races were cancelled after the course had been watered and jockeys complained one of the bends was too dangerous.

The racecourse now has seven days to lodge an appeal.
