New £8m recycling centre approved
Plans to build an £8m recycling centre in Warwickshire have been given the go ahead by the county council.

The centre is to be built on the site of a former slaughterhouse just outside Ettington, between Stratford and Shipston, in south Warwickshire.

The centre is due to be completed by the Pure Recycling group by April 2009.

The hi-tech waste centre will take in paper, card, plastics, metals and glass. The council's recycling target is 40% to 45% by 2010.
