Sinking bus route needs repairs
A Coventry city centre road will have to be dug up because it is sinking.

The controversial route through the pedestrianised Millennium Place was designed to encourage more buses to use the Poole Meadow bus station.

A line of bricks can be seen in the road where tyres have passed and in some areas the base layer of sand has crept to the surface.

The city council said temporary repairs would be done on Friday evening and full repairs carried out later in 2008.

It said it was in talks with the contractor which built the road two years ago to decide who would pay for the repairs.
