Postal strikes in future 'likely'
More postal strikes could be on the way in Coventry over plans to close the city's sorting office and move it to Northamptonshire.

Royal Mail wants to close its Bishop Street office, where 600 people work, and relocate it to Northamptonshire.

A petition set up earlier this year by the postal workers attracted more than 16,000 signatures.

Union leaders said members could be balloted over the next few weeks, but it would not affect the Christmas post.

Mick Kavanagh, from the Communication Workers' Union, said his members were determined to make their views known.
