Three arrests over M40 shooting

Detectives investigating the murder of a biker shot dead on the M40 have made three more arrests.

Gerry Tobin, 35, who had been living in London, was shot as he rode home from a biker festival on 12 August.

Two men were arrested in Coventry and the third in Milton Keynes. They are being questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

Four men have been charged with Mr Tobin's murder and are currently remanded in custody.

Warwickshire Police said the three new arrests were made on Wednesday morning.

Bulldog Bash

A 44-year-old was arrested at his home address in Alderman's Green, Coventry and a 45-year-old was arrested on a narrow boat moored on the Coventry Canal, near Alderman's Green.

The third, aged 52, was arrested by Thames Valley Police officers, in Milton Keynes.

Mr Tobin, of south London, died as he rode home from the Bulldog Bash bikers' festival, held at Long Marston airfield, near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire.

He grew up in Canada but had been living in the UK for 10 years and had worked at a Harley-Davidson dealership in Mottingham, close to where he lived with his girlfriend, Rebecca Smith, 25.
