MPs hold talks over new station
Ricoh Arena
A railway station was part of the original plan for the Ricoh Arena
Three MPs have held talks with the country's transport minister in a bid to get a new railway station.

Jim Cunningham, Geoffrey Robinson and Bob Ainsworth met with Tom Harris to discuss Coventry's aim to open a station at the city's Ricoh arena.

A station was part of the original plan for the 113m arena but was rejected by the government.

Ward councillor Ann Lucas said Coventry was a growing city and the station would be well used.
